Dear Goddess,

Life can get busy, and it is easy to forget to take time just for yourself. Thank you for giving yourself this moment to pause, read, and simply be here for you.

Cherish the moments you have for yourself, even when you are feeling a little down. These quiet moments can become precious opportunities to reconnect with yourself. Feeling low is a natural part of life, and sometimes these moments invite us to slow down, listen inward, and care for ourselves more deeply.

Love and give to yourself the most when you feel you need it the most, which may be right now.

Over the years, and while writing my book Divine Decluttering, I discovered that caring for our emotional and energetic space is just as important as clearing our physical environment. When we gently shift our inner world, our outer world often begins to shift as well.

There is also a free downloadable workbook that accompanies the book, filled with additional prompts and exercises to explore at your own pace. Download the free workbook here.

Below I have provided some suggestions that may help shift your energy and how you feel. Perhaps something here will resonate with you.

Before jumping into them, however, I invite you to first become present with how you are feeling, rather than immediately trying to push it away or fix it.

Honouring Your Feelings

You do not need to push your feelings down.

When emotions are suppressed, they do not simply disappear. They remain within us and can continue influencing our thoughts, reactions, and the energy we carry into our lives.

Give yourself permission to feel, express, and release what you are experiencing in a safe way.

Those feelings you may have pushed down are still there, quietly asking to be acknowledged. When we allow ourselves to feel them, they can begin to move and soften.

Tip: Often, when we experience an inner shift, our outer experiences begin to shift as well.

If you feel you need additional support, it is always important to seek guidance from a qualified health care professional. This article is simply meant to offer inspiration and gentle support.

A Simple Heart-Centred Exercise

Step 1: Find a comfortable place where you can relax and be present with yourself.

Step 2: Focus on your breath and gently move your awareness away from the busy thoughts in your mind and into your heart and body.

Step 3: Place your hands over your heart. Take a slow breath in, and gently exhale.

You may wish to ask yourself, “How am I feeling right now?” Then simply wait. Allow yourself to sit in silence and be present with whatever feelings arise. Notice where you feel them in your body. Relax into those sensations and breathe gently into them.

Heart-Centred Exercise:
As you exhale, allow any tension or heavy energy you notice to soften and dissolve, as you rest in acceptance of what you are feeling.
Allow yourself to feel. Express yourself in ways that feel safe. Offer yourself compassion, acceptance, and kindness. Honor yourself exactly as you are and right where you are.

After a few minutes, you may notice a subtle shift. You might feel more relaxed, lighter, centred, or peaceful.

Give yourself a hug after trying this and check in again. Notice how you feel now compared to how you felt before you began.

When you feel ready, you can try one of the suggestions below.

17 Suggestions To Gently Shift Your Energy

Take a walk, stretch, practice yoga, or stand barefoot on the earth.

6. Listen to a meditation.
Rest comfortably and listen to a meditation. Allow yourself to relax and experience something new.

7. Create a gratitude list.
Write a list of things you are thankful for. Instead of only thinking about them, pause with each one and feel the appreciation in your heart.

8. Connect with someone you love.
Reach out to someone you care about, by phone, in person, or online. Connection can bring warmth and comfort.

9. Moisturize with intention.
Moisturize your body slowly and lovingly. Allow yourself to feel cared for as you nurture each part of your body.

10. Read something comforting.
Cozy up with a favourite book and a warm beverage. Give yourself permission to rest.

11. Clear bathroom clutter.
Discard expired products or items you have not used in a long time. Creating a clean and peaceful space can influence how you feel each day.

12. Write yourself a love letter.
Imagine your Inner Queen writing a love letter to you. Let her remind you that you are already enough exactly as you are.

13. Write a letter from your future partner.
If you desire a loving relationship, write a letter as if it were from your soulmate to you. What would they say? What love would they express?
Reading it occasionally can help you connect with the feeling of the relationship you desire.

14. Create something.
Draw, sketch, colour, write, bake, or craft. Expressing creativity through your hands can be deeply healing.

15. Visualize your dreams.
Collect images that represent your dreams and desires. Spend time looking at them and imagining how it feels to already live that life.
In the book, I also share a process called creating a “My Life in Pictures” book, which some people enjoy using alongside, or instead of, a traditional vision board.

16. Take a sacred bath.
Take a warm bath surrounded by candles, soothing scents, and calming music. Allow it to become a relaxing self-care ritual.

17. Refresh your sleepwear.
Take all of your sleepwear out and place it on your bed. Ask yourself, what do I truly want to wear in my sacred sleep space? Keep only what makes you feel comfortable, beautiful, or peaceful.

A Final Loving Reminder

Remember, you are a goddess. Small moments of self-care and awareness can gently shift how you feel, and over time, they can transform the relationship you have with yourself.
